As many as eleven people were injured in a bus accident along the BP Highway in Roshi Rural Municipality, Kavrepalanchok, on Thursday morning.

According to the District Police Office, Kavrepalanchok, the incident occurred at around 8:25am in ward 9 of the rural municipality.

A bus travelling from Kathmandu to Ramechhap skidded on a slippery road and collided with a mini-bus heading to Kathmandu from Khandbari.

Following the collision, the first bus veered around 20 metres down the road, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Min Bahadur Ghale, spokesperson for the District Police Office.

Of the 15 bus passengers, 11 sustained injuries and were taken to the Mangaltar Primary Health Centre for treatment.

Police said the Mangaltar Area Police Office has taken the bus driver into custody, and an investigation is underway.
