A man died after a coal-laden truck plunged into the Trishuli River.
The deceased is 35-year-old truck driver Ram Narayan Yadav, a resident of Sakhuwa, Rautahat, according to the District Police Office, Chitwan.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Ravindra Khanal said the truck was travelling from Narayanghat towards Muglin when it lost control and plunged into the river at Chaudha Kilo in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-29 on Tuesday morning.
Both the driver and the helper sustained injuries in the accident. Yadav succumbed to his injuries at Bharatpur Hospital at 8:30am.
The helper, Asundra Kumar Yadav, 19, a resident of Garuda Municipality-5, is receiving treatment at Chitwan Medical College.
