One killed, one injured in motorcycle collision in Tokha

A man lost his life and one more got injured when two motorcycles collided in Tokha Municipality-1, Kathmandu, on Saturday afternoon. The deceased has been identified as Riwaj Acharya from Shivpuri-5 Mahakali, Nuwakot.
According to the Maharajgunj Police Station, the head-on collision at 14:25 on Saturday at the Phulbari Gate section of the road proved fatal when Acharya, who was riding one of the motorcycles, succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at the Grande Hospital in Tokha, the police said.
The rider of the other motorcycle, 28-year-old Pradeep Tiwari from Puwadumna-2, Bhojpur, currently residing in Bhaktapur, was injured. Tiwari is being treated at the same hospital, and his condition is reported to be critical.
Following the incident, locals staged protests on the road on Saturday afternoon.
Police are investigating further for details.
