17-year-old drowns in Rapti River in Hetauda

Priyanshu Acharya was swimming with friends when he went missing in the water.

Hetauda

A 17-year-old boy, Priyanshu Acharya, drowned in the Rapti River in ward 1 of Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City on Sunday.

Acharya, a resident of ward 5, had gone to the river for the swimming with three friends. According to them, he was the first to dive into the river but did not resurface. They immediately informed locals and the police.

A team from Chaukitol police rescued Acharya and rushed him to Hetauda Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
