Four killed in Narayanghat-Mugling road collision

Four people died early Friday morning when a microbus and a bus collided in ward 29 of Bharatpur Metropolitan City along the Narayanghat-Mugling road section, police said.
All the deceased were travelling in the microbus. Two other microbus passengers sustained critical injuries, while four bus passengers received minor injuries in the accident, which occurred around 3am.
The crash involved a microbus travelling from Mugling to Narayanghat and a bus heading in the opposite direction. Deputy Superintendent of Police Bheshraj Rijal, spokesperson for the District Police Office in Chitwan, said the deceased include a man from Gorkha and a woman in her 40s. The remaining two victims, aged 32 and 35, have yet to be identified.
The microbus driver is receiving treatment at Bharatpur Hospital. The bus helper, Bhoj Bikram Shah, 30, of ward 32 in Kathmandu Metropolitan City, sustained minor injuries, with two other bus passengers discharged after treatment.
An investigation into the cause of the accident is underway, DSP Rijal said.
