Bagmati Chief Minister Shalikram Jammakattel inducted four new ministers to his Cabinet on Tuesday.
Province Head Yadav Sharma administered the oath of office and secrecy to CPN-UML’s Eka Lal Shrestha, Rameshwor Shrestha, Keshav Prasad Pokharel, and Prakash Shrestha.
Eka Lal Shrestha has been given the portfolio of the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation while Rameshwor Shrestha will head the Health Ministry.
Likewise, Pokharel will assume office as the Minister for Forest and Environment and Prakash Shrestha has been appointed as the Minister for Industry, Commerce, Land and Administration.
Earlier on Tuesday, Rama Ale Magar of the CPN (Unified Socialist) was also sworn in as minister without a portfolio.
The UML joined the Bagmati provincial government on Saturday with the induction of Jagannath Thapaliya. He was appointed as the Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning of the province.
After the changes in the ruling coalition at the centre in the first week of this month, the Nepali Congress recalled its ministers and withdrew support to the Bagmati government.
On Tuesday, the Hamro Nepali Party with two members in the provincial assembly, had also withdrawn its support, pushing the Jammakattel-led government into a minority.
Then, Jammakattel, in a bid to regain majority in the assembly, appointed Shailendraman Bajracharya, a member of the Hamro Nepali Party, as the provincial minister for culture, tourism and co-operatives on Thursday.
