One person died and another was injured in a road accident in Dasghunga in the wee hours of Wednesday.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Shreeram Bhandari, Bharatpur-local Somlal Lama had sustained serious injuries after a motorcycle collided head-on with a truck on the Narayanghat-Muglin road section at around 1:50am.

The 32-year-old died in the course of treatment at the Bharatpur Hospital, police said.

Police have detained the truck driver and impounded the vehicle.
