Three dead, 27 injured in Amlekhgunj road accident

At least three people were killed and 27 were injured in a road accident in Amlekhgunj on Wednesday.
The accident occurred after a bus, heading towards Kathmandu from Kakarbhitta, and a truck, travelling to Pathlaiya, collided near Amlekhgunj-based Bridge Number 3.
According to Dadhiram Neupane, spokesperson at the district police office, truck driver Purna Gurung, 28, bus driver Hari Shumsher Suyal, 40, and one other were seriously injured in the accident.
They died while undergoing treatment in Hetauda, police said. The identity of the third victim is yet to be ascertained.
Seven of the critically injured have been rushed to Hetauda and Chitwan for treatment. The others are being treated in local hospitals.
