A 37-year-old man from ward 11 of Bakaiya Rural Municipality was arrested with two illegal muskets on Wednesday. 

According to the Thingan Area Police Office, the arrest was made after receiving an anonymous tip that the man was keeping illegal arms and ammunition in his house. Along with the guns, police also found gunpowder and bullet shells. 

The seized arms and ammunition have been sent to the district police office. The accused is in police custody for further investigation, said police. 

Earlier, police arrested three people from Hetauda in possession of illegal guns.
