A 50-year-old motorcyclist died after being run over by a tipper truck in the Panchkhal road section under the Arniko Highway on Sunday evening.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Rajkumar Shrestha of the District Police Office, the man was run over by the tipper truck and died on the spot after his motorcycle and a scooter collided and he was thrown on the road.

The accident occurred at around 6:40pm and the relatives of the deceased disrupted vehicular movement along the Panchkhal Road, demanding a detailed investigation and action.

The protest ended, and Panchkhal Road was open at 12am. Similarly, the locals of Balephi Rural Municipality, Sindhupalchowk, also blocked the Khadichaur section of the Araniko Highway until Sunday evening after the death of a local woman in a road accident.
