Police seize over 900 kgs of marijuana from Hetauda

A team of Armed Police Force seized over 900 kilograms of marijuana from a cargo truck with Indian registration number in Hetauda on Sunday.
According to APF 14 number battalion headquarter in Makwanpur, the team confiscated around 920 kgs of marijuana that was being smuggled in a container truck with Indian registration number, NL 01 AC 2145, from Hetauda Buspark during a security check.
The truck was heading to Birgunj from Khurkhure in Chitwan.
APF Deputy Superintendent Anil Karki informed that the marijuana was being smuggled in a 2-feet deep false bottom that was constructed on the driver’s side of the cockpit. Karki informed that the marijuana was packed in 60 packages.
The APF team have arrested the driver Dulare Yadav, 45, and his assistant Yogesh Verma, 36 of Balrampur Birtapur in India and further investigation is underway.
