NC’s Durlav Thapa Chhetri elected from Bhaktapur-2
Chhetri defeated UML’s Mahesh Basnet, the constituency’s incumbent parliamentarian, by a margin of 957 votes.

Durlav Thapa Chhetri of the Nepali Congress has been elected from Bhaktapur constituency-2.
Chhetri garnered 24,239 votes to defeat the constituency’s incumbent Mahesh Basnet of the CPN-UML. Basnet received 23,282 votes.
Similarly, Nepal Majdoor Kisan Party’s Anuradha Thapa Magar had secured 7,127 votes.
