Biraj Bhakta Shrestha of Rastriya Swatantra Party is leading the vote count in Kathmandu-8.
As of 2pm on Monday, Shrestha has garnered 611 votes.
He is followed by Suman Sayami of Hamro Nepali Party with 603 votes as per the initial vote counting results.
Shiva Sundar Raj Vaidya of CPN-UML is standing third receiving 306 votes and Jeevan Ram Shrestha of CPN (Unified Socialist) is in fourth place with 221 votes.
