An Indian national was found dead in Janaknandini Rural Municipality of the Dhanusha district on Tuesday afternoon.

According to the district police office, the body of the deceased was discovered in the west dam area of the Inaruwa Railway Station.

The woman was a local of Muzaffarpur in India, said police. This information was revealed after the police contacted the number they had found written on a note in the woman’s bag, informed Deputy Superintendent of Police Deepak Rai.

The family of the deceased have been informed and the body has been sent to the Janakpur-based provincial hospital for postmortem after the completion of preliminary investigation, added Rai.

Further investigation into the case is ongoing.
