A 14-year-old girl has been stabbed to death seriously injuring her mother in a knife attack in Dharan.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Nabin Krishna Bhandari, Babin Baral, 33, of Sankhuwasabha attacked the teenage girl and her mother abruptly on Tuesday afternoon.
The girl, who was seriously injured in the attack, breathed her last while undergoing treatment at the Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences.
The police have arrested the perpetrator and investigating for details, Bhandari said.
