Atleast one person died in a road accident in Panchthar on Wednesday. Four others have been injured.

Fifty-five-year-old Harimaya Tumrok was killed after the auto-rickshaw she was on met with an accident in ward 1 of Panchthar Municipality at around 9am on Wednesday, police said.

The three-wheeler was headed toward Phidim from Siwa.

Tumrok, who had sustained serious injuries, was rushed to the Panchthar Hospital where she breathed her last during treatment.

Driver Deepak Limbu and three passengers were also injured in the accident. They are receiving treatment at the Samarpit Hospital in Phidim, police said.
