Nepali Congress candidate Gyanendra Bahadur Karki has been elected a member of the House of Representatives from Sunsari-4. He received 30,483 votes.
Karki defeated his closest rival, Jagdish Prasad Kushiyeta of the CPN-UML, by a margin of 112 votes. Kushiyeta garnered 30,371 votes.
Likewise, Biddhananda Yadav of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party received 3,224 votes while Jeewan Kumar Shrestha of the Rastriya Swatantra Party got 3,127 votes.
Karki had previously been elected from the same constituency.
