PR vote counting completes; RSP secures highest votes
Final results awaiting as data entry continues: ECPost Report
Vote counting under the proportional representation category has completed, according to the Election Commission (EC).
“The count is complete. But final results are yet to be published since data entry is still taking place,” EC’s assistant spokesperson Kul Bahadur GC said.
According to latest updates published by the EC, a total of 107,85,876 votes were counted. The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) stood first with 51,57,130 votes, followed by the Nepali Congress with 17,55,872 votes.
Similarly, the CPN-UML came third, securing 14,52,758 votes while the Nepali Communist Party received 809,577 votes.
The Shram Sanskriti Party secured 385,741 votes, and the Rastriya Prajatantra Party 330,268 votes. Other parties failed to cross the three percent threshold of the total valid votes, the figures required to qualify for the House of Representatives seats under the proportional representation system.
