Abhishek Pratap Shah of the Nepali Congress has been elected to the House of Representatives from Kapilvastu-3.
According to the final results, Shah secured 23,535 votes to win the seat. His nearest rival, Prakash Rajouriya of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), received 18,890 votes.
CPN-UML candidate Birendra Kumar Kanodia came third with 14,763 votes.
