Nepali Congress candidate Bharat Kumar Swar has been elected to the House of Representatives from Achham-1, defeating Nepali Communist Party candidate Bhim Rawal by a narrow margin.
Swar secured 10,759 votes, while Rawal received 10,233 votes, according to the final vote count. The victory margin stood at 526 votes.
CPN-UML candidate Deepak Bahadur Saud finished third with 7,389 votes. Rastriya Swatantra Party’s Om Prakash Rawal secured 1,739 votes in the constituency.
