NIICE plans Nepal–India think tank forum on regional security cooperation on February 10
The day-long forum in Kathmandu will bring together experts from Nepal and India to discuss shared security challenges and regional resilience.Post Report
The Nepal Institute for International Cooperation and Engagement (NIICE) is set to organise the Nepal–India Think Tank Forum 2026 on February 10, marking its 10th anniversary.
The forum, themed “Regional Resilience: Strengthening Nepal–India Security Cooperation”, will be held at the Kathmandu Marriott Hotel, the organisers said in a press release issued on Tuesday.
NIICE noted that the event will feature three focused sessions examining the convergence and future trajectory of Nepal–India security cooperation, transnational threats, connectivity and economic security, as well as the role of think tanks, youth and media in fostering resilient bilateral relations.
The forum will bring together experts from both India and Nepal, including Pankaj Saran of NatStrat, Sanjay Jasjit Singh of the United Service Institution of India, Alok Bansal of India Foundation, Sangeeta Thapliyal of Jawaharlal Nehru University, and Gaurav Saini of the Council for Strategic and Defence Research, alongside Nepali participants such as Anurag Acharya of Policy Entrepreneurs Inc., Angana Guha Roy of the Asian Institute of Diplomacy and International Affairs, security analyst Binoj Basnyat, and senior journalists Sanjeev Satgainya and Bibek Dhoj Thapa, among other researchers and policy experts, NIICE said.
NIICE is a Kathmandu-based think tank working on foreign policy, security and development issues, and has previously partnered with several Indian research institutions.
