A 40-year-old woman was killed by a tiger inside the buffer zone community forest in ward 6 of Thakurbaba Municipality in Bardiya district, on Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as Padamkala Thapa of Kaligaudi in Thakurbaba. According to Ashok Ram, chief conservation officer of Bardiya National Park, the tiger mauled the woman to death in the Bakuwa area.
The incident happened as the victim went to the forest to graze goats.
