Prime Minister Oli holds talks with former Sri Lankan President Wickremesinghe
Discussions focus on bilateral ties and mutual interests.Post Report
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli met former Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe on Thursday at the prime minister’s residence in Baluwatar.
According to the prime minister’s press secretariat, the discussion centred on enhancing bilateral relations and various aspects of mutual interest of the two South Asian countries. Industrialist Binod Chaudhary, who is a lawmaker from Nepali Congress, was also present at the meeting, according to a press note issued by the secretariat.
Wickremesinghe, a long-time friend of Prime Minister Oli, arrived in Nepal on a private visit on December 28 and is scheduled to return home today, read the press note.
Veteran politician Wickremesinghe served as Sri Lankan President from 2022 to 2024. Previously he served as prime minister of the country for multiple times.
