Bardiya
Police arrested eight people on charge of gang-raping a 14-year-old girl in Bardiya. Three other accused are on the run.
According to Rupesh Shah, Inspector at the Area Police Office in Motipur, the suspects were detained after the victim lodged a complaint against them.
The Bardiya district court on Monday remanded the suspects in custody for five days for investigation. The victim claimed that the suspects repeatedly raped her three months ago.
Investigation is underway into the case, said police.
