Government forms high-level committee to develop safe and reliable civil aviation system
Cabinet also approved the terms of reference of the committee.Post Report
The government has formed a high-level study and recommendation committee to develop a safe, reliable, and trustworthy civil aviation system in Nepal.
According to Minister for Communication and Information Technology Prithvi Subba Gurung, the Cabinet, on Friday, decided to establish a five-member committee headed by former Supreme Court Justice Anil Kumar Sinha. “The committee is tasked with conducting a comprehensive study and analysis of Nepal’s civil aviation sector and providing recommendations to improve safety, reliability, and credibility,” he said.
The Council of Ministers also approved the terms of reference of the committee. Other members of the committee include air traffic management expert Rajendra Bahadur Singh, aviation safety expert Bhesh Raj Subedi, air service operations and quality management expert Captain Riwaj Prasad Pradhan, and a Joint Secretary from the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation.
