Two elderly men lost their lives in separate incidents in Makawanpur and Myagdi districts.
In Kailash Rural Municipality-2 of Makwanpur, 63-year-old Dil Bahadur Syangtan died after falling into a gorge while returning home after inspecting his paddy field, according to the District Police Office, Makawanpur.
The incident site is 10 kilometres west of the police post in Dandakharka. Syangtan’s body was taken to Hetauda Hospital for post-mortem.
In Mangala Rural Municipality-4 of Myagdi, 65-year-old Rajendra BK was electrocuted.
Sagar Paudel, information officer at the District Police Office, Myagdi, said the incident occurred on Sunday afternoon when BK touched the support wire of an 11 kV high-tension power line.
His body has been taken to Beni Hospital for a post-mortem.
