23 injured in separate road accidents
15 injured in Sindhuli microbus accident, eight hurt in Syangja jeep crash.Post Report
As many as 23 people were injured in separate road accidents in Sindhuli and Syangja districts.
A microbus travelling from Kathmandu to Biratnagar met with an accident at ward 8 in Kamalamai Municipality, Sindhuli, on Friday, injuring 15 people, including the driver.
Six of the injured were sent to Dharan for further treatment, while others are receiving care at Sindhuli Hospital.
According to Superintendent of Police Govinda Raj Kafle, chief of the District Police Office, Sindhuli, the condition of the injured ones is reported to be stable.
In a separate incident, a jeep en route from Sirubari to Pokhara overturned reportedly after its brakes failed at Bejhang, Syangja, injuring eight passengers.
The jeep, carrying eight people, fell into a roadside ditch around 10am. The injured, including 50-year-old Atmaram Sigdel and 84-year-old Kalawati Ghimire, were initially treated at Setidobhan Health Post before being referred to Gandaki Medical College, Pokhara. All are reported to be in stable condition despite injuries to their heads, arms, and legs.
