Lightning kills two in Kanchanpur

Two people were killed and one injured by lightning strikes in various locations across Kanchanpur on Wednesday.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Umesh Joshi, the deceased have been identified as Yam Bahadur Sunar, 34, of Dodhara-Chadani municipality-6, Bhattinala, and Hiramati Rana, 28, of Lalgadi Rural municipality-1, Nauranga, in Kanchanpur district.
Sunar was struck while riding a motorcycle, and Rana was hit while working in a field. Both victims succumbed to their injuries while receiving treatment in hospital.
Joshi also reported that Jagat Sunar, the pillion rider on Yam Bahadur’s motorbike, is currently receiving treatment.
