Nepali nominated in Integration Conference of Hessan in Germany
Led by a minister, the conference is constituted of representatives from civil society, politics, administration and science.Post Report
Shiva Adhikari, a Nepali living in Germany, has been nominated as a member of the Integration Conference under the Ministry of Labor, Integration, Youth and Social Affairs in Hessan state in Germany.
Adhikari is the first Nepali to be a member of the conference that supports and advises the state government on integration and migration policy questions.
Led by a minister, the conference is constituted of representatives from civil society, politics, administration and science, from educational organisations, religious communities, companies, and migrant organisations.
Shiva Adhikari, who has lived in the European nation for the last 25 years, has been supporting migrant communities through Nepali Samaj, an association of Nepali diaspora living in Frankfurt and other German cities.
“This nomination highlights the appreciation and recognition of our efforts to integrate and contribute to German society,” Adhikari was quoted as saying in a statement by the Nepali Samaj.
“I am eager to bring my knowledge, perspectives, and ideas to the Integration Conference and help shape policies that strengthen social cohesion in our diverse society.”
