A two-day conference on global peace kicked off in Lalitpur on Saturday.
Delegates and participants from Nepal and abroad took part in discussions and presented their papers on various issues of concern under the broad theme of ‘Pathways to Global Peace through Emotional Intelligence, Positive Mental Health, Human Behaviour and Cooperative Management’.
The conference, organised by World Without Anger, EQ4Peace Worldwide Inc USA and Global Peace Foundation Nepal at Quest International College, laid its focus on emotional intelligence as it promotes optimism, well-being and happiness.
According to the organisers, participants from a global network of universities and countries—spanning Bangladesh, India, Belgium, Kenya, Malaysia, Nepal, Bulgaria, Uganda, the United Kingdom, and the United States—contributed their insights and research.
In his message to the conference, Prof Matt Perelstein, co-founder and CEO of EQ4Peace Worldwide USA, said their mission is to create peace, starting from the inside out, with emotional intelligence (EQ) and positive mental health.
