Rajen Kandel, founder and chief executive officer of The British Education Group (BEG), which includes The British College (TBC), has been awarded ‘MD of the Year’ in the SME News IT Awards 2024. The ceremony took place in London, UK.

The SME News IT Awards recognises outstanding contributions across various sectors, including IT solutions, data migration, and business IT transformation.

Kandel was awarded for his role with the Kandel Group as ‘Best Investment Firm Managing Director 2024’ in the ‘International Education Sector.’

“I began my career as an IT manager and now collaborate with top universities worldwide to deliver IT courses and a range of other programmes across four continents. This year, we have partnered with the University of Greenwich in the UK and acquired the Maritime Business College in Canada. This recognition is deeply meaningful and marks the beginning of many exciting developments ahead,” Kandel said after receiving the award.
