Two men died while cleaning a well in ward 13 of Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitan City, Dang, on Wednesday.
The deceased are Mukesh BK, 16, and Ram Bahadur Nepali, 38, of the same ward.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Thakur Prasad Pokharel of the Area Police Office, Tulsipur, said they entered the well around 10 am. The locals notified the police after finding them unconscious.
A Nepal Army team rescued them from the well and took them to Rapti Provincial Hospital in Tulsipur for treatment.
Both of them died while undergoing treatment, said DSP Pokharel.
