Seven injured in Humla jeep crash
Five passengers sustain serious injuries, police say.Post Report
A total of seven people were injured, five of them seriously, in a jeep accident in Chankheli Rural Municipality, Humla, on Wednesday morning.
According to Police Inspector Narendra Chand of the District Police Office, Humla, the jeep, was travelling from ward 2 of the rural municipality to Deuli Bazar when it crashed at Gaurisalla.
The critically injured include 35-year-old Surendra Shahi, 50-year-old Til Bahadur Shahi, 15-year-old Rabin Shahi of Chankheli Rural Municipality, and 40-year-old Prithvi Rawat and Ramesh Mall of Chayanath Municipality-13 in Mugu. The driver, Mahendra Bikram Shah of Budhinanda Municipality-4 in Bajura, and Maya Devi Shahi from Chankheli-2 sustained minor injuries.
A police team from Mimi Police Post conducted the rescue operation.
The jeep fell 150 meters down the road after skidding on a bend, police said.
