Australian Ambassador to Nepal Felicity Volk called on President Ramchandra Paudel on Thursday.
During the meeting at Sheetal Niwas, various topics related to bilateral relations and mutual interests were discussed, said Shailaja Regmi Bhattarai, spokesperson of the Office of the President.
Australia’s prosperous economy is not only important for the South East Asian and the Pacific region but also on the global stage, Bhattarai quoted the President as saying.
Paudel added that the Oceanian country should contribute to enhancing the social and economic development of landlocked and developing countries like Nepal.
