Marchawari Rural Municipality of Rupandehi district has decided to close schools for four days due to the increasing cold in the region.
According to Gaya Prasad Barai, chairman of the local unit, all the community and religious schools remained closed for four days starting Monday. “The rural municipality decided so that severe cold wouldn’t affect the health of school children,” he said.
The temperature has plummeted in Tarai districts over the past few days due to a cold wave.
