Twenty-one-year-old Chhotu Sadaya, who was arrested on the charge of child sexual abuse, has escaped from Lahan Police custody on Friday, police said.
Sadaya escaped when he was taken to the public prosecutor's office in Siraha, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Rabindraraj Pandey of the District Police Office.
Police were taking him to the prosecutor’s office to extend his judicial custody for investigation. Police have issued a BOLO (be on the lookout) for the absconding, and his identity details have been sent to all security agencies, said Pandey.
