Beni Hospital has launched a 13-hour Outpatient Department (OPD) service from 7 am to 8 pm seven days a week including public holidays.
According to Anju Thapa, medical superintendent of the hospital, the hospital has hired two medical officers and two support staff for the smooth operation of the OPD.
Similarly, the maternity ward, pharmacy, and lab will stay open round-the clock.
“OPD services will be provided by medical officers in the absence of consultant doctors due to the limited number of consultant doctors at the hospital. Funds are being arranged by the hospital management committee to hire more consultant doctors,” said Thapa.
