An on-duty worker of the Lumbini regional directorate of Nepal Telecom at Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City ward 13, got electrocuted while repairing wires on a utility pole on Friday.
According to Dan Bahadur Thapa, head of the Butwal Area Police Office, the deceased worker was a 42-year-old man, a resident of ward 2 of Surnaya Rural Municipality of Baitadi district.
He was seriously injured after being electrocuted on Thursday afternoon and died in the course of treatment at the Lumbini Province Hospital on Friday, said Thapa.
