Locals torch truck in Rautahat after death of woman in road accident

Irate locals torched a truck in Chandrapur Municipality-1 of Rautahat district along the East-West Highway on Thursday after a woman died in a road accident.
Chandranigahapur Area Police Office said the truck hit a 55-year-old woman of Chandrapur-1, killing her on the spot.
Locals and kin of the deceased woman set ablaze the truck and also vandalised a fire engine deployed to contain the blaze.
The area turned tense and a police team under the command of Deputy Superintendent of Police Ek Narayan Koirala was deployed at the incident site to take the situation under control.
