The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority on Sunday registered a corruption case at the Special Court against Raju Puri, a survey officer at the land survey office, Chabahil.
Puri has been accused of amassing property worth Rs10.4 million illegally.
An investigation by the commission found that the officer has property worth Rs22.4 million but the source of the property only worth Rs12 million could be established.
“It has been confirmed that he misused his position to acquire illegal wealth,” the anti-corruption body said in a statement.
According to the commission, Puri’s wife Srijana also has been named as a defendant in the case as the illegal property was also transferred to her name.
