Police parade 12 people including five foreigners arrested with illegal substance

Police on Friday paraded 12 people including five foreigners arrested on the charge of drug smuggling.
Acting on a tip-off, a team from the Narcotics Control Bureau had nabbed them during raids carried out in various places in the past ten days.
On June 11, police arrested Indian national Hementa Kumar Bhagat from Kathmandu. In a rare incident, police had shot at the alleged drug peddler near the Tribhuvan International Airport.
Police had found 100 gram heroin in his possession.
Based on an investigation, police arrested Ram Bhajan alias Sanjeev Kumar, 28, of India who was currently living in Dharan from Sunsari on Wednesday.
Superintendent of Police Chakraraj Joshi said on Friday that police arrested a German national from Tribhuvan International Airport on June 12 with 6.860 kg hashish.
Mahesh Chaudhary, 29, of Chitwan, Mukhiya Gurung, 24, and Sugam Mainali, 29, of Kathmandu and Raj Gautam of Morang were caught on different dates, police said.
Police said they nabbed a Czech Republic national from Pokhara, a Turkish national and an Italian national from Kathmandu with drugs.
