Entire state apparatus will be mobilised for search, rescue and relief: Prime Minister Dahal

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Monday said the entire state apparatus will be mobilised for search, rescue and relief following the loss of lives and property due to floods and landslides in Koshi hill districts.
The prime minister said so while meeting a team of political leaders from Taplejung and Panchthar districts at his official residence in Baluwatar.
The leaders drew the attention of the government to provide food and shelter to the survivors and to ensure alternative arrangements to resume transportation.
Prime Minister Dahal said he is aware of the damage and is taking the initiative to mobilise the entire state apparatus for search, rescue and relief.
The prime minister added that he has instructed the concerned agencies to make necessary arrangements to resume transportation.
Stating that he has directed the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport to take necessary measures, the prime minister added that crucial materials related to food, shelter and health will be dispatched instantly.
Heavy monsoon rains since Saturday night have been wreaking havoc in the hill districts of Koshi Province. At least five people died while 28 others have gone missing in the monsoon mayhem in Sankhuwasabha, Panchthar and Taplejung districts.
