Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Sunday directed all to be engaged in search, rescue and relief operations following landslides and floods in eastern hilly districts.
The prime minister appealed to the general public, security agencies and government employees to unite for the rescue operations of communities hit by the disasters.
PM Dahal has also expressed his sorrow over the death and damage to the property.
Scores of people have gone missing in Sankhuwasabha, Panchthar and Taplejung districts flowing floods and landslides triggered by heavy downpours on Saturday night.
Likewise, vehicular movement along the Mechi Highway has come to a halt after bridges were swept away.
