The Kathmandu Metropolitan City has urged the stakeholders to operate all vehicles travelling outside the Kathmandu Valley from the New Bus Park in Gongabu.
In a notice issued on Friday, the metropolis reminded that it is mandatory to operate long, medium and short-distance vehicles heading outside the Valley from the bus park.
Stating that haphazard parking, operating ticket booking counters outside the bus park, and random pick-up and drop-off of passengers on the road have hindered traffic management in the areas, the metropolis has urged all to strictly abide by the rule.
Furthermore, the metropolis has also asked the bus operators to remove the ticket booking counters outside the bus park and operate the vehicles only from the bus park effective from June 16.
All the stakeholders are urged for the implementation of the new provision, reads the notice.
All the vehicles plying up to Banepa, Sankhu and Dhulikhel are barred from stopping at stations from Kalanki to Jadibuti, according to the KMC.
The metropolis shall coordinate with the traffic police to bring to book those disobeying the notice, the city office warned.
