The government has decided to recommend the budget session for May 7.
A meeting of the Cabinet held on Wednesday decided to recommend President Ramchandra Paudel to call the meeting of both Houses of the federal parliament on May 7.
As per the constitution, the President summons the House sessions at the recommendation of the Council of Ministers.
Likewise, the Cabinet also decided to award Rs600,000 each to players and the head coach of the Nepali national cricket team that won the ACC Premier Cup on Tuesday. The win has secured a rare berth for Nepal in the Asia Cup later this year.
The meeting also decided to complete the construction works to upgrade the TU Cricket Ground to an international-level stadium by allocating a budget in the upcoming budget.
