Nepal on Saturday reported one Covid-related death in the last 24 hours, taking the countrywide death toll to 12,030 since the pandemic began three years ago.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the country reported 22 new PCR-confirmed coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 1,002,941.

Similarly, 29 people tested positive in a total of 1,033 antigen tests, according to the health ministry.

As of Saturday, 6,034,711 PCR and 1,572,452 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.

A total of 205 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the health ministry.

According to the ministry, 990,550 infected people have recovered from the disease so far, 35 of them in the last 24 hours.

The number of active cases stands at 361.

A total of 17,098 people received Covid-19 vaccines in the last 24, hours, the health ministry said.

Nepal on Friday had reported 103 new coronavirus cases.
