Health ministry records 103 new Covid-19 cases

Nepal recorded 103 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours.
The new cases were confirmed through 1,925 tests—627 through RT-PCR and 1,298 through antigen—performed during the period, the Ministry of Health and Population said on Friday.
According to the ministry, 50 PCR-confirmed coronavirus cases were reported in the last 24 hours, taking the nationwide infection tally so far to 1,002,919.
A total of 53 people tested positive for the virus through antigen tests, the ministry said in the daily report. With no Covid-related death in the last 24 hours, the nationwide death toll since the pandemic began stands unchanged at 12,029.
According to the ministry, 990,515 infected people have recovered from the disease so far, 53 of them in the last 24 hours. The recovery rate stands at 98.7 percent.
There are currently 375 active cases.
Nepal on Thursday had reported 111 new Covid-19 cases and one death.
