81 new Covid-19 cases recorded

Nepal recorded 81 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours.
The new cases were confirmed through 1,306 tests—370 through RT-PCR and 936 through antigen—performed during the period, the Ministry of Health and Population said on Sunday.
According to the ministry, 41 PCR-confirmed coronavirus cases were reported in the last 24 hours, taking the nationwide infection tally so far to 1,002,598.
A total of 40 people tested positive through antigen tests, the ministry said in the daily report.
With no Covid-related death in the last 24 hours, the nationwide death toll since the pandemic began stands unchanged at 12,027.
According to the ministry, 990,201 infected people have recovered from the disease so far, 54 of them in the last 24 hours.
The number of active cases stands at 370.
Nepal on Saturday had reported 78 new Covid-19 cases and one death.
