Five former Indian Army chiefs to attend Army Day celebrations
Nepal and India have been honouring each other’s army chiefs with the rank of honorary general since 1951.

A total of four former Indian Army chiefs have arrived in Kathmandu on Friday to attend Army Day celebrations to mark the 260th anniversary of the Nepal Army.
Retired chiefs and honorary generals of the Nepal Army Vishwa Nath Sharma, Joginder Jaswant Singh, Deepak Kapoor and Dalvir Singh arrived in Kathmandu on Friday. Another former chief and honorary general Manoj Mukund Naravane is scheduled to arrive on Saturday morning.
According to Krishna Prasad Bhandari, spokesperson of Nepal Amy, the national army will be holding a ‘Chief Conclave’ by inviting honorary generals.
