A total of five journalists including Kantipur Daily’s Matrika Dahal were awarded on Saturday on the occasion of the 32nd anniversary of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority.
The journalists were honoured with the prize carrying a purse of Rs20,000 by President Bidya Devi Bhandari in appreciation of their contribution through the news to control corruption and promote good governance.
Dahal has been covering national security, good governance and public administration for Kantipur Daily, the Post’s sister publication.
Likewise, Surendra Kafle of Annapurna Post, Subash Bhatta of Naya Patrika, Sagar Pandit of Rajdhani and Krishna Gyawali of Onlinekhabar were also honoured on the occasion.
The anti-corruption body was established on February 11, 1991.
